P2252 Code: O2 Sensor Negative Current Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The oxygen sensor checks how much oxygen there is in the exhaust gases produced by the engine burning a mixture of air and fuel. It converts the oxygen content into a voltage signal and sends it to the engine control module (ECM) or powertrain control module (PCM). The controller uses the readings to adjust various engine and fuel system processes, thereby achieving the most fuel-efficient operation.

If the control circuit powering oxygen sensor #1 on engine bank 1 showed a negative current, the PCM will log a P2252 code.

What Does the P2252 Code Mean?

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2252 indicates “O2 Sensor Negative Current Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1.” Bank 1 indicates the side of the engine with cylinder 1. Oxygen sensor 1 refers to the upstream device located in front of the catalytic converter.

Modern vehicles have multiple O2 sensors. Preheated

Tesla vehicles not ready to be approved as fully autonomous

Tesla says its vehicles will be able to achieve full self-driving autonomy, but it won’t get regulatory approval this year.

In an earnings call, CEO Elon Musk said an update coming next year will “be able to show to regulators that the car is safer, much more so, than the average human”.

“We’ll achieve full self-driving full autonomy – I look at that occurring 100 per cent. And I think we’re almost there. And then, of course, we’ve got to prove it to regulators and get the regulatory approvals, which is outside of our control,” said Mr Musk.

“But anyone who’s driving full self-driving cars — has full self-driving Beta in the car, you can see the rate of improvement. You can just experience for yourself that we are, in fact, getting there. In fact, we almost are there. And so, we’re probably achieving that 100 per cent.”

What Time Does Autozone Open

Autozone HoursWhen shopping for alternative elements in your automobile, search for the phrase OE. This stands for original tools, the standard standard of your authentic elements. Duralast components meet or exceed OE specs, so you’ll be able to set up them with confidence.

Also, I overlook what folks engaged on automobiles in the autozone parking lot has to do with parking tickets. I assume the people who are complaining about this are a bunch of assholes frankly. Not everybody has the money to go to an expert mechanic every time there car has some little downside and I do not see something incorrect with people who do have data about cars serving to out others for a small price. In truth I suppose it is good for the neighborhood. The only respectable criticism I even have seen about it is relating to disposable of the waste which I agree the autozone … Read more

How To Use Broken Fastener Extractors

Oh… now you messed up.

You went too hard on the righty tighty, and now you have a righty loosey on your hands. You just sheared off the head of the bolt that you’re trying to tighten. Or even worse, you just sheared the head off a rusty fastener that you were trying to loosen. Yikes. Your “30-minute job” just got a hell of a lot longer.

Oh no… (Photo Credit: Cruzdelasadas technical)

At least use some penetrating fluid

Let’s talk avoidance, first. What should you have done? Well, at the very least, some penetrating fluid couldn’t have hurt. Penetrating fluids use an oily solvent that slowly works its way into the threads. It leaves an oily coating that, in theory, lubricates the threads. Pretty simple. Using penetrating fluid is easy. “Allow to soak. Tap or vibrate parts to help loosen – reapply and repeat process until parts come free.”
